Tourism Inquiry; Growing Pains - can we achieve a 50% growth in tourist revenue by 2015?
 

Remit of inquiry

The remit of the inquiry was to inquire into the feasibility of meeting the Scottish Government’s ambition for a 50% increase in revenue from tourism by 2015, to identify the key challenges and suggest measures to overcome them.

The Committee published its tourism report on Thursday 10 July 2008.

The debate on tourism took place in the Chamber on Thursday 18 September 2008.

The Committee has now completed its inquiry into the feasibility of achieving 50% growth in tourist revenue by 2015.

The Committee appointed Professor John Lennon as its tourism adviser.
