ALL SIXTEEN PARLIAMENT COMMITTEE CONVENERS NOW CHOSEN

All sixteen of the Scottish Parliament’s Committees have now chosen Conveners and Deputy Conveners.

In their first meeting this session, the Committee members also declared any interests and discussed legacy papers from the previous session’s corresponding Committee (s).

The Committees which met today to choose Conveners and Deputy Conveners are:
• Education
• European and External Relations
• Enterprise and Culture
• Public Petitions
• Procedures.

The Convenership and make up of the Committees will be as follows:

Education

Convener: Liberal Democrat - Robert Brown
Deputy Convener: Conservative - Lord James Douglas-Hamilton
