Portuguese Ambassador to discuss EU Presidency

The Portuguese Ambassador to the UK , His Excellency Antonio Nunes de Carvalho Santana Carlos, will answer questions from the public during an event at Holyrood on Thursday 13 September.

The Ambassador, who is being hosted by the European and External Relations Committee, will discuss the priorities of the current Portuguese Presidency of the European Union and will meet with the Presiding Officer and representatives of the political parties.

The Ambassador’s presentation will be based on the Presidency’s priorities published in the document entitled Portuguese Presidency of the Council: A Stronger Union for a Better World.

The public address and question and answer session will take place at 2pm in Committee Room 1 of the Parliament. Tickets are available to members of the public and can be obtained by emailing europe@scottish.parliament.uk.

The meeting will be webcast live on www.holyrood.tv.

Access Arrangements

Journalists are welcome to attend the meeting and put questions to His Excellency Antonio Nunes de Carvalho Santana Carlos.
