Six MSPs are visiting an Edinburgh school on Friday to discuss their work and a range of sports issues with pupils.
The visit, to the Royal Blind School in Edinburgh , is the latest in a series of 'MSPs in Schools' sessions, and marks the largest number of MSPs to have taken part in an individual visit.
Pupils from S1-4 will give a presentation to the MSPs of research they have completed on sport in school and in the community. The MSPs will then take part in a question and answer session, which will relate to wider issues outside of sport such as racism and sectarianism.
The MSPs taking part are Mike Pringle, Lord James Douglas-Hamilton, Robin Harper, Mark Ballard, Kenny MacAskill and Margo MacDonald.
'MSPs in Schools' aims to inform school pupils of the work of the Scottish Parliament, through the wider aspects of education for citizenship in Scotland, including motivation, values and participation.
The project has been set up by Hansard Society Scotland working with the Scottish Parliament's Outreach Services, Learning and Teaching Scotland, The Scottish Executive and Electoral Commission.
