ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMME

 

9.00am Royal Mile performers arrive at their designated locations to set up their acts.

9.15am Scottish Youth Theatre begins its Pre 1707 performance in front of St Giles in Parliament Square .

Scottish Fiddle Orchestra begins playing for Holyrood Gallery guests arriving. (To finish at 10.10am ).

9.30am Royal Mile performers

(Clan An Drumma – Between the Games Shop and Starbucks, Clan Wallace Band – Grounds of Canongate Kirk, The Martians – Underneath Chessells Court, Te Pooka Performers – Outside Filling Station, World Burns Federation (North of Scotland) – Underneath Plaisir Du Chocolat Pillars (NB Burns Federation will perform only from 10.15am-10.45am)

10.00am The Scottish Youth Theatre performance ends for the arrival of the Royal Company of Archers and Lowland Military Band.

10.22am Caledon begins entertaining the awaiting crowds around Holyrood from the landscaped garden stage.

10.33am The Scottish Youth Theatre moves to the Buccleuch Statue in Parliament Square West where the group will perform a 10-minute drama for awaiting crowds during the Parliament Hall event.

10.51am The Highland Band of the Scottish Division plays incidental music for The Queen's departure from the Signet Library. The Queen is then presented to Members of the Scottish Youth Theatre at the Buccleuch Statue.

5.03pm Te Pooka gives a pyrotechnics performance on the water feature outside the public entrance.
