His Holiness the Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of Tibet, is to visit the Scottish Parliament next year during a visit to Scotland. The Nobel Peace Prize winner will lead the Parliament in Time for Reflection in the Chamber and meet with MSPs. Scottish Parliament Presiding Officer George Reid said: The Scottish Parliament is broadcast live on the web. Viewers all over the world will be able to follow proceedings in the Chamber during the Dalai Lama’s visit at: www.scottishparliamentlive.com Time for Reflection will be the first item of business in the Chamber when His Holiness visits on Wednesday 2 June 2004. Time for Reflection is normally the first item of business taken each
week in the Chamber. It gives people with a wide range of faiths and
beliefs the chance to share their thoughts with the Scottish Parliament
and has been widely welcomed by many religious groups and other organisations.
