PRESIDENT OF GHANA TO ADDRESS MEETING OF MSPs TODAY
|

The President of Ghana will visit the Scottish Parliament, at the invitation of its all-party Bureau, to address a meeting of MSPs today (Wednesday, September 13). The meeting, which will begin at 1.30pm, will be held in the Parliaments main chamber. Members of the media are invited to attend. Presiding Officer Sir David Steel will chair the meeting. Minister for Parliament Tom McCabe will represent the Scottish Executive. The meeting is scheduled to end at 2.00pm. Non-accredited media are requested to confirm their attendance to Eric MacLeod at the Parliaments Media Relations Office no later than 10.30am on the day.
Media will have access to the Press Gallery and should be seated no later than 1.25pm. A limited number of seats may also be available to media on the floor of the chamber. BACKGROUND NOTES The meeting will be televised by the Parliamentary Broadcasting Unit and made available to broadcasters via the established channels.
