His Excellency Dr Bingu wa Mutharika, President of the Republic of Malawi.
The President made history on Thursday 3 November when he became the first foreign Head of State to address the Parliament in its new setting at Holyrood.
He went on to speak at an international conference on Malawi. Organised by the Scotland-Malawi Partnership, the conference considered the impact of the Commission for Africa report and G8 Scotland on the Sub-Saharan country.
