Events

A wide range of events take place at the Scottish Parliament, from committee and MSP-sponsored occasions, through constituency events to State visits.

The events that happen at Holyrood have a key link to the business and priorities of the Parliament and have MSP, committee or departmental sponsorship.

There is not a separate function suite within Holyrood, events take place in rooms and foyer areas that at other times are used for parliamentary business.

The Scottish Parliament does not currently accept requests to hold events for commercial purposes and for events that do not have the appropriate sponsorship.

The Calendar of Events looks ahead four weeks and contains information about official meetings of the parliament as well as educational visits and other official visits organised and co-ordinated by the External Liaison Unit.
