Iain Smith MSP
Iain Smith MSP Iain Smith MSP was elected to the first Scottish Parliament in May 1999 to represent his home constituency of North East Fife.

Before becoming an MSP, Iain was a Councillor and Leader of the Liberal Democrats on Fife Council. Iain was also Constituency Organiser for North East Fife Liberal Democrats, and had been Menzies Campbell MP's Constituency Agent.

Born and brought up in North East Fife, Iain has lived with his partner in Ladybank, North East Fife for seven years. His interests include sport such as cricket and football as well as extensive travel, reading and a keen interest in culture.
