In August 1999 I visited Boston and Washington DC as part of the Irish peace process. Boston College met the costs of the visit which amounted to £1,500.

From 6-9 June 2008 I visited Lleida and Barcelona in Catalonia for the purposes of speaking at a conference on national identity in Europe and visiting cultural and political organisations.
