Festival of Politics 2011

The Festival of Politics 2011 programme of events is now available.  Covering seven days from Saturday 20 to Saturday 27 August – with the main focus of events running from Thursday 25 August onwards – the overarching theme is Re-newing Politics in the Age of New Media and will feature a number of events looking at how politics, and the wider world, is progressing with social media, new technologies and interaction with each other.

In addition to the programme of thought provoking and innovative discussions, debate and cultural events we have transformed the Members’ Restaurant into a music and theatre venue allowing acts such as Midge Ure, Roddy Hart and Ivor Novello Award winner Iain Archer to perform amongst many others.  Please do take a closer look at the programme, we are sure there will be many events to your liking.

Looking at last year’s event, if you missed any of the 2010 programme, webcasts of all chamber events are available to download from www.holyrood.tv and audio recordings of all other events can be downloaded from http://www.mediafire.com/FOP2010. A selection of photos from the 2010 can be viewed on our Facebook page – www.facebook.com/festivalofpolitics.
