20 November 2007 :   The Committee agreed to seek responses to the issues raised in the petition from the Scottish Government and Ofgem. Link to Official Report 20 November 2007 

19 February 2008 :   The Committee agreed to suspend further consideration of the petition until the report of the Beauly-Denny public inquiry is available and Scottish Ministers have reached a determination on this scheme. Further, that the Scottish Government should then respond to the Committee on what the wider impact is of the inquiry findings in terms of the approach to underground or undersea cabling and what action it will be taking.
