20 November 2007 :   The Committee agreed to seek responses to the petition from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board on the wider implications of introducing charges for car parking and the adequacy of public transport links and to write to the Board regarding the levying of such charges while the Committee is considering the petition. The Committee also agreed to seek a response from the Scottish Government. Link to Official Report 20 November 2007 

19 February 2008 :   The Committee agreed to invite the Chief Executive and the Chairman of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Board to give oral evidence on the issues raised in the petition at a future meeting of the Committee. Link to Official Report 19 February 2008 

15 April 2008 :   The Committee agreed to write to the Welsh Assembly Government asking for information on how it was able to provide free parking without over-subscription. It also agreed to write to the Scottish Government on whether impact assessments were undertaken into the policy of car parking charges, whether the constraints of PFI contracts and their effect on car parking charges were considered and what the overall impact in financial terms to the health service is of free parking. It also agreed to copy the petitions to the Health and Sport Committee for information only. Link to Official Report 15 April 2008
