23 October 2007 :   The Committee agreed to seek a response to the petition from the Scottish Government. Link to Official Report 23 October 2007 

19 February 2008 :   The Committee agreed to combine further consideration of this petition with PE1081 and to suspend further consideration of both petitions until the Scottish Government’s Marine Bill has been introduced into Parliament and to then seek a further response from the Scottish Government on how the Bill will address the specific issues raised in the petition and the management of the coastal and marine environment. 18 November 2008 :   The Committee agreed to refer both petitions to the Rural Affairs and Environment Committee for further consideration as part of its scrutiny, as the anticipated lead committee, of the Marine Bill when it is introduced into Parliament by the Scottish Government.
