4 September 2007 : The Public Petitions Committee agreed to seek views on the petition from the Scottish Executive, Western Ferries (Clyde) Ltd, Caledonian MacBrayne Hebridean and Clyde Ferries, the Firth of Clyde Forum, Inverclyde Council and Argyll and Bute Council. 15 January 2008 : The Committee agreed to seek a response to the issues raised in the petition from the Scottish Government to the detailed points made by the petitioner in his written submission and how it proposes to take forward consideration of ferry service provision between Gourock and Dunoon.
