Remit and membership
Remit:
To consider and report on matters relating to school and pre-school
education and such other matters as fall within the responsibility
of the Minister for Education and Young People; and on matters
relating to culture and sport and such other matters, excluding
tourism, as fall within the responsibility of the Minister for
Tourism, Culture and Sport. (As agreed by resolution of the
Parliament on 13 June 2002)

Subordinate Legislation
The Committee reports to the Parliament as follows-
1. The Education, Culture and Sport Committee met on 25 February
to consider the Registration of Foreign Adoptions (Scotland)
Regulations 2003 (SSI 2003/67).
2. The Education, Culture and Sport Committee does not wish
to make any recommendations on the instrument.
