1. Items in private: The Committee agreed to take items 4 and 5 in private.

2. Petition PE 512: The Committee considered a petition from Mr George Reid on the Saltire flag. The Committee agreed that the colour of the Saltire flag should be colour reference Pantone 300. The Committee noted that it was not endorsing any guidance by taking this decision. The Committee noted that consideration of the Petition was now concluded.

3. Commissioner for Children and Young People: The Committee agreed to produce a further child friendly leaflet.

4. Gaelic Language (Scotland) Bill: The Committee considered a draft Stage 1 Report. The Report, as amended, was agreed to.

5. Purposes of Scottish Education inquiry: The Committee considered a further draft report. The Committee agreed to consider a further draft at its next meeting.
