1. New Petitions: The Committee will consider
the following new petitions-
PE593: Alleged exploitation of men and children
in divorce actions.
PE625: Expert witness system in Scottish courts.
PE632: Sale of heritable property authorised by
the courts.
PE633: Alleged discrimination against fathers
by the courts, social services etc.
PE635: Procedures for questioning child witnesses
in court. Duncan Shields will make a presentation in support of
petitions PE593-PE635.
PE672: Handling of the previous Justice 1 Committee's
Regulation of the Legal Profession Inquiry. Duncan Shields, George
Farquhar and Ann Mallaby will make a presentation in support of
this petition.
PE652: The Dunblane Public Inquiry. William Burns
will make a presentation in support of this petition.
PE658: Proposal to reduce the qualifying age for
voting in Scotland. Daniel Donaldson and Jacqueline Hughes will
make a presentation in support of this petition.
PE660: Proposal for a competition to compose a
national anthem for Scotland. George Reid will make a presentation
in support of this petition.
PE657: Proposed Education (Additional Support
for Learning) (Scotland) Bill.
PE659: Proposal for a review of sentencing policy

3. Inadmissible Petitions: The Committee will
be invited to agree the recommendations contained
in a paper on inadmissible petitions.
4. Anonymous submission of petitions: The Committee
will consider a paper from the Clerk.
