Sexual Offences (Procedure and Evidence) (Scotland) Bill (in private): The Committee will consider lines of questioning for item 3. 2. The Presiding Officer has selected the following amendment S1M-2340.1 Fiona Hyslop: Membership of the Committee of the RegionsAs an amendment to motion (S1M-2340) in the name of Mr Tom McCabe, leave out from "endorses" to end and insert "supports the Committee of the Regions as an institution of European co-operation based on the role of regional government and in promoting the regions of Scotland in that role proposes that the full and alternate members representing Scotland are elected members of Scotlands local authorities including Councillor Christine May and Councillor Keith Brown as full members and Councillor Corrie McChord and Councillor Hugh Halcro-Johnston as alternate members and instructs the Executive to return to the Parliament with four additional names of councillors as nominees." followed by Parliamentary Bureau Motions 5.00 pm Decision Time followed by Members Business debate on the subject of S1M-2113 David Mundell: Disabled Access to Railway Station PlatformsThat the Parliament notes with concern the continuing difficulties disabled citizens experience in accessing railway station platforms and the adverse impact this has on their freedom to travel; notes in particular the difficulties with access to and from the southbound platform of Lockerbie station, the only mainline station in south-west Scotland, which means disabled passengers have to travel south to Carlisle and return north on another train in order to be able to leave the station premises, and believes that the Scottish Executive should do all it can to work with Railtrack, train operating companies and any other relevant bodies to ensure that the necessary funding is available and priority given to providing appropriate disabled access to railway station platforms in Scotland and Lockerbie in particular.
